Waldram Hollfelder
Waldram Hollfelder (born November 23, 1924 in Erlenbach am Main ; † July 26, 2017 in Nuremberg ) was a German musicologist and composer .
Life
Waldram Hollfelder studied piano and composition at the Nuremberg Conservatory , then musicology and church music in Erlangen and Heidelberg . In 1952 he completed his studies in Heidelberg. He then became a music educator and cantor in Neustadt an der Aisch and Nuremberg.
Waldram Hollfelder was Bundeschorleiter of the Franconian Singing Association from 1973 ; he was a member of its Presidium and the Presidium of the Bavarian Music Council . He sat on the cultural advisory board of the city of Nuremberg and was a representative of the Association of German Composers for Northern Bavaria. From 1979 he was a member of the jury in the Valentin Eduard Becker composer competition.
Waldram Hollfelder worked intensively as a composer for choral works of all kinds and has received several awards for his compositional work: in 1959 with the advancement award for the City of Nuremberg , 1961 with the Valentin Becker Award , 1980 with the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and 1999 with the Bavarian Order of Merit .
