history

The two-aisled hall church with an octagonal central support was built as a late Gothic building between 1478 and 1496. A keystone in the choir bears the year 1478. There are a total of fourteen keystones with the donor's coat of arms. B. the coat of arms of Archbishop Johann II. Von Baden (1456–1503) and the house of Ulmen.

The top of the tower and the nave roof were destroyed in a fire in 1687 caused by a lightning strike and restored in 1691. The west portal was built in 1868. Extensive renovation work was carried out in 1971/72.
