Walter Hess (actor)

Walter Hess (born March 8, 1939 in Lucerne , Switzerland ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

Walter Hess studied acting with Linde Strube from 1961 to 1963 and passed his stage maturity examination in Stuttgart in 1963. After his first engagement at the theater in Konstanz (1963–1968), further engagements followed at the Schauspielhaus Zürich (1970–1971) and at the Theater Basel (1972–1980). He later moved to Germany, where he worked at the Bonn Theater in the late 1980s and at the Hanover Theater from 1997 . Since 2002 he has been a member of the Münchner Kammerspiele . At the same time, he has been in front of the camera more and more in recent years and has been in feature films such as Sophie Scholl - The Last Days (2005), Cherry Blossoms - Hanami (2008), Obendrüber, da snowing (2012) and The Dog Buried (2016) see.

In autumn 2014 he took part in the filming of the novel by Peter Stamms Agnes , directed by Johannes Schmid , in which he played the role of Professor Kutasov . The film was released in theaters in 2016 .
