Walter Kabel

Walter Kabel (born January 30, 1927 in Hamburg ; † September 8, 1997 in Munich ) was a German ( cabaret ) pianist and composer.

biography

Training and first steps

He attended the music school in Hamburg (graduation: music teacher ) and studied composition with Ernst-Gernot Klußmann . Kabel accompanied the student cabaret " Die Amnestierten ", then with Peter Arweihler in the rendezvous in Hamburg .

Laughing and shooting company

He followed Ursula Noack in 1959 to the Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft , where he worked as a composer until 1983. Ursula Noack and Walter Kabel married in 1967 .

He composed and accompanied Katja Ebstein , Edith Hancke , Beate Hasenau , Trude Hesterberg , Topsy Küppers , Ursula Noack , Margot Werner , Hanne Wieder as well as Michael Heltau and Werner Schneyder .

His final resting place is in the family grave in the Grasbrunn forest cemetery (part of the Neukeferloh community) near Munich.
