Walter Schroeder (politician)

Walter Schroeder (born July 13, 1894 in Vegesack ; † November 11, 1976 ) was a German politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Walter Schroeder attended the secondary school in Wiesbaden-Biebrich and the Reformrealgymnasium in Wiesbaden up to primary school . From 1916 to 1919 he did military service. From 1913 to 1924 he worked in banks and industry. From 1924 to 1933 he was the full-time managing director of the German People's Party . After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists, he was unable to continue his political work, but became (on April 1, 1933) a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 1,811,761). He was initially a journalist from 1933 to 1934 before he held managerial positions at the Reich Air Protection Association from 1934 to 1945 . In 1946 he was initially a horticultural worker and in 1947 a construction worker, before he became managing director of the FDP parliamentary group in 1948.

On August 25, 1951, he replaced Wilhelm Seipel in the Hessian state parliament. At the end of the second legislative period, he resigned on November 30, 1954, but also moved up in the third electoral term (this time on October 14, 1957 for Oswald Adolph Kohut ) and remained a member of parliament until December 30, 1958.
