The Walther Müller was a sea ​​rescue boat (SRB) of the 9-meter class of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS).

The Walther Müller , known internally as KRST 23 by DGzRS, was built in 1977 by the Schweers shipyard in Bardenfleth under construction number 6433. On July 30, 1977 the boat was baptized together with two sister boats in Bardenfleth in the name of a sponsor of the DGzRS.

Technical Equipment

The lifeboat was equipped with radio systems, echo sounder, radar , GPS , DGPS , external bilge pump and a rescue port.

Stationings

From 1977 to August 1996 the boat was stationed at the DGzRS station Eiderdamm. In August 1996 the boat started service at the Freest station . The service there ended on November 29, 1999 with the transfer to Breege .

The Walther Müller was there in August 2006 through the bush replaced and could after nearly 30 years of service to the open-air Harbor Museum Dornumersiel / Westeraccumersiel be supplied. There it is exhibited under the name Eppe de Bloom .
