Walther Schulte vom Brühl
Walther Schulte vom Brühl ( pseudonym for Walther Schulte-Heuthaus , another pseudonym: Johann Hennrich ; born January 16, 1858 in Gräfrath ; † June 4, 1921 in Neckarsteinach ) was a German journalist , writer and painter .
Life
Walther Schulte vom Brühl worked as a private tutor in Zurich and at the same time occupied himself with art-historical and literary studies. From 1878 to 1884 he lived as a painter in Weimar ; then he worked as a newspaper editor in Bad Sulza , Munich and Zurich. From 1886 to 1889 he was part of the editorial team of Didaskalia , the entertainment supplement of the Frankfurter Journal . From 1889 to 1914 he lived in Wiesbaden , where he was editor-in-chief of the Wiesbadener Tagblatt until 1912 . From 1914 until his death he worked as a freelance writer in Neckarsteinach. From around 1890 to 1920 he designed numerous bookplates.
Walther Schulte vom Brühl's literary work includes novels , short stories , children's books , poems , verses and plays .
