Wanted Sabata is a spaghetti western by Roberto Mauri . It was premiered in 1970, but not shown in German-speaking countries.
action
Bounty hunter Jim Sparrow kills his brother Willie on a ranch and presents the matter as if Sabata was the culprit who bought this farm from Sparrow and settled there with his fiancée Evelyn. Four purchased witnesses ensure that he is to be hanged for it too. Sabata escapes with the help of a weapon that is thrown through the prison window. Somebody kills the prison guard, for which Sabata is again blamed. Many people are now interested in collecting the money placed on his head. A bystander who looks like Sabata is also killed. Although the bounty continues to rise, Sabata is able to convince the sheriff of his innocence. Together they snatch Sparrow and bring him to a confession: In Sabata's clothes, he gradually murdered all of the witnesses he had bought. He is now expecting the gallows.
criticism
The Segnalazioni Cinematografiche said that a story told again and again was poorly staged . Genre expert Christian Keßler also writes that the film tells its very simple story without digressions.
Remarks
The film was shot in Manziana .
