The iron hats in the municipal coat of arms are taken from the family coat of arms of the marshals of Pappenheim . The lance is an attribute of Saint Emmeram von Regensburg , the patronage of the church in Trommetsheim and Alesheim . The wave bar represents the Altmühl , which flows through the municipality.
