Wargame: Red Dragon is a real-time strategy game that was developed by the developer Eugen Systems and published by Focus Home Interactive on April 17, 2014. It is a sequel to Wargame: European Escalation , released in 2012,and Wargame: AirLand Battle ,released in 2013.

Gameplay

Wargame: Red Dragon contains 17 playable parties with a total of more than 1450 different units. New in this part of the series are units related to amphibious warfare , including various types of ships ( destroyers , corvettes , landing craft , supply boats, etc.), mobile launching ramps for anti-ship missiles , and amphibious vehicles . The parties in the game are divided into two factions:

Campaigns

The various campaigns each deal with fictitious conflicts, which, however, are partly based on real events or use them as models. At the time of delivery, the game contained four campaigns:

The Second Korean War - 1992 campaign is part of a free DLC.

Multiplayer

Like its predecessors, Red Dragon also offers a comprehensive multiplayer mode . In different game modes, battles can be fought both on land and on water. Some multiplayer maps also offer combat only on the water.

Engine

Wargame: Red Dragon uses the version 4 of IRISZOOM - Engine Developer Eugen Systems , whose previous versions already in parts Wargame: Airland Battle and European Escalation and RUSE was used.
