Warren J. Kemmerling

Warren Joseph Kemmerling (born January 4, 1924 in St. Louis , Missouri , † January 3, 2005 in Los Angeles ) was an American actor .

Life

Warren Kemmerling graduated from Saint Louis University in 1947 and served in the United States Marine Corps . Being a good singer, he focused on a singing career and found work as a background singer in musicals. He made his Broadway debut in 1953 with the world premiere of the musical Me and Juliet . After a few more years and performances in supporting roles in various plays, he moved to Los Angeles in the late 1950s to establish himself as a film actor.

He found work mainly as a supporting and guest actor in television series in the 1960s. He was seen in individual episodes of Perry Mason , The Charming Jeannie and The Six Million Dollar Man, among others. By the end of his career in 1990, Kemmerling worked in over 110 film and television productions. He never played a leading role, did not belong to any series cast, and was not nominated for any prestigious film and television awards.

As a union member of the Screen Actors Guild , Kemmerling was active for over 18 years. Most recently he was a member of the board. He helped design contract templates, salary negotiations, working conditions, and pension and health plans.

Kemmerling died on January 3, 2005, the day before his 81st birthday, at the age of 80. He was married twice in his life. In his first marriage, he was married to actress Jo Ann LeCompte from 1952 to 1955. The marriage remained childless. From 1957 until his death in 2005 he was married to Marianne Olsen. He had two children with her.
