Washougal ( wɑːˈʃuːɡəl ) is a small town in Clark County in the southwest of the US state Washington .
The place has an elementary school and a high school .
geography
The community is located about 28 km east of Vancouver (Washington) and about 37 kilometers northeast of Portland on the north bank of the Columbia River and is traversed by the Washougal River . The municipality of Camas borders in the west . The Washington State Route 14 , the Lewis & Clark Highway, runs through Washougal.
Demographics
The United States Census 2010 determined a population of 14,095 for the place, which has officially existed since 1908 . The official population estimate for 2018 showed a population of 16,049.
