Wayne Shields

Wayne Shields (born October 28, 1975 ) is a South African lighting technician and cameraman .

life and career

Wayne Shields was born in South Africa in 1975. At the beginning of his career he worked as a best boy . He got his first job in 1999 with the Thai television film Shark Attack . He did the same job in the thriller Second Skin - Murderous Puzzle , a South African-British-Canadian co-production with Natasha Henstridge and Angus Macfadyen in the leading roles, again a year later. In 2005, Shields was the first lighting technician in charge of the Lord of War section in Africa , with Nicolas Cage in the lead role.

As a gaffer , Shields worked from 2007 on, among other things, in films such as The Track of Horror , 10,000 BC , Starship Troopers 3: Marauder and Scorpion King: Rise of a Warrior , in which he also played a role. For the US television film 24: Redemption , a prequel to the television series of the same name , Shields was responsible as a gaffer for the recordings that took place in South Africa. In addition to his work in films, he also works as a lighting technician for the television series The Prisoner , The Runaway and Kidnap and Ransom .

In 2012 he and Roel Reiné were cameraman for Death Race: Inferno , a direct-to-DVD production . In the same year the films Safe House with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds and Dark Tide with Halle Berry and her fiancé Olivier Martinez appeared in which Shields was responsible as a gaffer.
