The house Weberstraße 3 is a Grade II listed building in the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the northern part of the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. The house Weberstrasse 2 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the south and Weberstrasse 4 to the north .

Architecture and history

The half-timbered house consists of two building parts. The left, southern part was built in 1674 by the master carpenter Peter Dünnehaupt . The inscription MPD, decorated with a coat of arms, refers to him . The threshold is decorated with pyramid beam heads. The ground floor was later changed. In this part of the building there is also a house passage, the wooden courtyard gate of which dates from 1874. The northern part of the house is less elaborately designed and also more recent. This part was created around 1800. The half-timbered structure has a post rhythm and a profile plank. A remarkably designed shop installation was carried out on the ground floor around 1910.
