A German comedy by Hans Hutter from 1968 is closed because of wealth . It is based on the life story of the first major German lottery winner, Walter Knoblauch.

action

The unemployed peddler Walter Knoblauch wins the main prize in the lottery in 1956. He spends the profit with full hands: He marries his fiancée Elisabeth, buys cars, furs and a restaurant. He falls in love with the barmaid Rita. At some point, however, the money runs out.

The producer and scriptwriter Wolf Citron bought the rights to the life story of the meanwhile impoverished Walter Knoblauch for 3,100 marks.
