Heinz Funk

Heinz Funk (born May 18, 1915 in Hennef (Sieg) ; † March 27, 2013 ) was a German film composer , music producer and synthesizer specialist.

Life

Funk studied accordion , composition and harmony at the Trossingen State Music Academy , then attended the music school in Hamburg . The trained sound engineer was a German accordion master, founded the German accordion master orchestra and studied composition with Walter Girnatis .

Funk was brought into film by Jürgen Roland and made a name for himself, especially in the 1960s, as a composer of numerous pieces of music for feature films, cultural films, television programs and commercials. He was the founder and partner of Studio Funk with branches in Hamburg, Berlin , Frankfurt am Main and Düsseldorf for music production for AV media of all kinds.

He was a specialist and importer for Moog synthesizers . In 1977 he produced a demonstration cassette for the Sennheiser VSM 201 vocoder .
