Wei Ning

Wei Ning ( Chinese  魏 宁 , Pinyin Wèi Nìng ; born August 5, 1982 in Shandong ) is a Chinese sportswoman specializing in skeet shooting .

Wei Ning lives in Jinan . In 2003 she won the gold medal at the World Championships in Nicosia . A year later, Wei was the in the finals of the skeet competition Olympic Games of Athens , where she won behind the Hungarian Diána Igaly the silver medal. She also won the World Cup final in Maribor . At the 2005 World Cup in Lonato , she reached the final again, but narrowly missed a medal in fourth. In Changwon , the Chinese won an ISSF World Cup for the first time, two more victories followed up to 2008. The 2007 World Cup took place again in Nicosia. Wei won the silver medal here. She finished fifth in the Asian Championship of the year in Kuwait City . At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , the Chinese reached the finals of the best six in fifth place in the qualification and ended up sixth. At the 2010 World Championships in Munich, she won the silver medal. The year before, she also won her sixth victory at an ISSF World Cup tournament in Munich, equaling the world record of 74 goals in qualification.

Wei Ning was also successful several times in military world championships . She won the titles in Lahti in 2002 and in Nicosia in 2007, and the silver medal in Cairo in 2001 .
