Weiler is a district of the municipality of Königsfeld in the Black Forest in the Schwarzwald-Baar district in Baden-Württemberg .

geography
Burgberg is located on the eastern slope of the Black Forest 6 km northeast of Königsfeld in the Black Forest.
It is a small street village-like facility with short cross paths.
history
Weiler was first mentioned before 1132 as ad superiorem Wilare in the property description of the St. Peter monastery. In 1280 St. Georgen appeared with property in the village. In 1308 the von Burgbergs sold a farm in Weiler to the Neuhausen monastery in Villingen.
In 1445 the Rottweiler patrician Bernhard Haugg sold his fiefs from Fürstenberg, a. a. Weiler, to Count Ludwig von Württemberg . In 1452 Heinrich Haugg left his half to the bailiwick and court, also in Württemberg . Weiler stayed with the Württemberg Oberamt Hornberg until the transition to Baden .
In 1973 it was incorporated into the municipality of Königsfeld in the Black Forest.
