The Welsh Premier Division (also Indigo Group Premiership for sponsorship reasons ) is the top rugby league for Welsh clubs below the multinational Pro14 , in which four Welsh regions participate. It was introduced at the beginning of the 1990/91 season and consists of 14 teams. In the seasons 2000/01 and 2001/02, the two Scottish clubs Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors took part in the league, so that they were called Welsh-Scottish League at this time. The record champions are the Neath RFC with six titles.
