The Weltbilder magazine is a TV program by Norddeutscher Rundfunk with a focus on international reporting . Reports from all over the world are shown by the correspondents of the ARD studios abroad . The program is broadcast on Tuesdays at 11:30 p.m. on NDR television .

The first broadcast took place on January 2, 1991 and was moderated by Christian Herrendörfer . After Herrendörfer, the former international heads Walter Helfer and Jürgen Bertram presented the format, alternating with Navina Sundaram , Gabriela Kube and Claudia Buckenmaier . Juliane Eisenführ has been shaping the world for the longest, followed in July 2007 by the presenter Katty Salié. Julia-Niharika Sen has been the face of the format since January 2009 . Constantin Schreiber and Inka Schneider act as guides through the show.

The program revolves around reports from all over the world, which are delivered by the ARD foreign correspondents from 26 foreign studios. These are not always current topics, background reports and reports are also part of the program. There are topics that the worldviews deal with again and again, such as the euro crisis or refugee policy .
