Wendy Maitland Jones (born December 19, 1975 in Newcastle upon Tyne , England ) is a former Scottish squash player .

Career

Wendy Maitland played on the WSA World Tour from 1998 to 2004 and won a title in a total of three finals. She achieved her best placement in the world rankings with rank 25 in June 2003. With the Scottish national team she took part in the World Cup in 1992 , 1994 , 1996 , 1998 , 2000 , 2002 and 2004 . In 2002 she was with the national team after a final defeat against England Vice European Champion . She also represented Scotland at the 2002 Commonwealth Games , where she reached the round of 16 in singles. In mixed, she was eliminated from the group stage with Neil Frankland . In 2002 and 2003 she was Scottish champion and was in the main draw of the World Cup in both years, where she was eliminated in the first round.
