The Wer'wolf MkII is a Mine Protected Vehicle developed in Namibia and built since 1998 . It is being built by Windhoeker Maschinenfabrik in Windhoek , part of the state-owned August 26 Holding , which in turn is owned by the Ministry of Defense . It has been replaced by the Wer'wolf MkIII since 2015 .

construction

The Wer'wolf MkII is based on a chassis, axle and engine from MAN . In the standard version, it offers space for four crew members including the driver. The modular design configurations are as Mannschaftstransportwagen possible for up to ten crew members.

The 17.272- ton vehicle has a length of 5.86 meters, a width of 2.335 meters and a height of 2.65 meters. Its armor can withstand up to 7.62 × 51 mm NATO and land mines of up to 14 kg (under the vehicle) and up to 21 kg (under the tires).
