Werner Biedermann (born May 9, 1953 in Essen ) is a German author and director .

Life

After studying design (visual communication and industrial design) with a degree in designer at the Folkwang University / University of Essen, he worked as deputy director of the Munich Film Museum in 1978/79. He then led film seminars and workshops for the Franco-German Youth Office, the Goethe-Institut , various adult education centers and lectured at the Westphalian Wilhelmsuniversität Münster and the University of Essen / GHS. From 1985 to 2001 he was head of studies in the cultural education department at the Volkshochschule Essen and head of the Essen municipal cinema. He also wrote articles for the daily newspapers WAZ , NRZ, for film magazines and is the author of fiction and film books.

Since 1979, Werner Biedermann has directed short and full-length films that have been shown in commercial and municipal cinemas as well as at festivals and in Goethe Institutes, including the full-length documentary "The fullness of life or The golden age" or the short film " Eggtime ”. Werner Biedermann was on the board of Filmbüros NW e. V. and lives in Essen.
