Werner Guhre (born November 11, 1919 - † April 25, 2012 ) was a German football player .

Career

The from Saxony originating midfielder Guhre began his career at SC Limbach and later moved to Chemnitzer BC . After the end of the Second World War he left the Soviet occupation zone and joined the TBV Lemgo . In 1949 he moved from the district class to the then first-class Oberliga Nord for VfL Osnabrück . With VfL Guhre was third in the 1949/50 season and qualified for the German championship , where the Osnabrück team in the first round at eventual champions VfB Stuttgartfailed. For VfL Guhre made twelve appearances including the game against Stuttgart.

For the 1950/51 season, Guhre moved to local rivals Eintracht Osnabrück , who had just been promoted to the Oberliga Nord. For Eintracht he completed 26 league games and scored one goal. At the end of the season he left Osnabrück and moved to the Lower Saxony second division team Tuspo Holzminden , where he let his career end.
