Werner Hahn (politician)
Werner Hahn (born March 22, 1924 in Rendsburg ; † May 10, 1985 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1967 to 1983 he was a member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein .
Life
Werner Hahn attended high school in Rendsburg and then completed a commercial apprenticeship . Since 1948 he was co-owner of the company LE Hahn in Rendsburg in the tobacco, confectionery and spirits wholesaling. Hahn was active in various business associations, for example, he was chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein State Association of Tobacco Wholesalers in Kiel , President of the Federal Association of German Tobacco Wholesalers (BDTA) in Cologne and President of the European Tobacco Wholesalers Association (ETV) in Brussels . He was also a member of the general assembly of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Kiel and a member of the advisory board of the Rendsburg-Neumünster business association.
Hahn held the position of district association chairman in Rendsburg-Eckernförde for the CDU in the 1960s and 1970s .
As early as 1955 he was elected to the district council of Rendsburg-Eckernförde for the first time , later he was part of the district council president .
In the state elections in 1967 , 1971 , 1975 and 1979 Hahn was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 14 (Rendsburg-Ost). He was a member of the state parliament from May 16, 1967 to April 12, 1983. In the state parliament From 1967 to 1971 he was chairman of the committee for youth and sport, then until 1979 chairman of the committee for youth issues. In addition, he was a long-term member of the finance committee and the economic committee of the state parliament. From June 28, 1971 to September 21, 1982 he was also the parliamentary representative of the Minister of Economics and Transport.
Hahn was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 1975 , and in 1982 he was awarded the Great Cross of Merit. He was also awarded the Freiherr vom Stein Medal of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.
