Werner Köppe
Werner Köppe (born September 10, 1929 in Sonthofen ; † September 12, 2015 ) was a German lawyer and from 1977 to 1994 President of the Bavarian Administrative Court in Augsburg .
Life
Werner Köppe studied law and from 1959 worked as a government assessor in the government of Swabia for the district offices of Vilshofen and Tirschenreuth . From 1960 to 1966 he was a member of the government in the district office in Mindelheim ; he was the first in-house lawyer in the Mindelheim district . In 1963 he moved to the Bavarian Administrative Court in Augsburg , initially as a legal assistant, from 1963 as an administrative judge, from 1966 as a senior administrative judge and from 1972 as a senior administrative judge. After working in the Bavarian Administrative Court in Munich he was appointed in 1977 as president of the Bavarian Administrative Court of Augsburg. In 1994 he retired.
He was a long-time diocesan councilor of the Catholics in the Diocese of Augsburg and was involved in the Central Committee of German Catholics , the Catholic Youth Welfare Organization and the Catholic Schools in Bavaria . For many years he was chairman of the adult education center in Augsburg and was one of the “moving helpers” of the educational facility at Willy-Brandt-Platz. In 1983 he was a founding member of the Hans and Anna Adlhochstiftung eV and in 1988 of the Juristic Society Augsburg eV
Werner Köppe was involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land . In 1987 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fuerstenberg and invested in Karlsruhe on October 17, 1987 by Franz Hengsbach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . Most recently he was an officer of the Papal Laity Order.
