Werner Rambow

Werner Rambow (born May 5, 1957 in Willich ; † March 7, 2017 in Bonn ) was a German local politician (Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen). He was the first politician of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party to hold the office of district mayor of Beuel from 2012 to 2014 .

Life

Werner Rambow grew in Willich on the Lower Rhine and attended in Krefeld , the junior high school and high school . He studied political science , modern history and sociology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . After completing his studies, the political scientist and trained printer was, among other things, owner of the "Printwerkstatt Rambow" printing company in Bonn and an instructor for offset printers.

Since November 2004 he was a district councilor in Bonn-Beuel and until 2014 deputy chairman of the sub-committee for monument protection . From mid-June 2012 to mid-June 2014, he held the office of District Mayor of Beuel, which he had already deputized for since 2009. Most recently, Rambow was Beuels' second deputy district mayor.

Rambow lived in Bonn since 1979 and in Beuel since 1996; he lived in Vilich-Rheindorf .

He died in March 2017 in the Johanniter Hospital in Bonn.
