Werner Schrüfer

Werner Schrüfer (born March 31, 1957 in Amberg ) is a German theologian .

Life

He studied philosophy and theology in Regensburg . After his ordination in 1982 he was chaplain and student pastor from 1982 to 1993 . He completed further studies in pastoral theology with a focus on homiletics with a doctorate under Konrad Baumgartner in 1994. From 1993 to 2003 he was cathedral preacher in Regensburg Cathedral and at the same time diocesan commissioner for radio and television. From 1996 to 2005 he worked as a lecturer for homiletics at the University of Regensburg . Since 1997 he has been the diocesan commissioner for homiletic training and further education in the diocese of Regensburg . From 2003 to 2015 he headed the “Inner City Pastoral Care” project. In 2003 he became cathedral vicar , in 2008 he was given the title of papal honorary chaplain and thus the title monsignor . Since 2008 he has been an artist chaplain and since 2014 head of the Art-Church Music-Liturgy Department in the Pastoral Care Department. In 2016 he became parish vicar in the parish community Steinweg - Stadtamhof - Winzer ; in Stadtamhof he had also previously worked as a parish administrator.
