Werner Schulze-Erdel

Heinz Werner Schulze-Erdel (born May 2, 1948 in Münster ) is a German presenter and actor .

Life

From 1972 to 1975 Werner Schulze-Erdel graduated from the Bochum drama school . Engagements at the Bochumer Schauspielhaus , the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Residenztheater in Munich followed . In 1978 it was first noticed by a wider public as part of the Gimmicks .

In 1980 he played a homeless person in a supporting role in the Tatort episode No Child's Play .

In 1984 he started his career as a presenter at the TV station musicbox . In 1986, he was program director of a Bavarian private radio station, in 1987 he performed the RTL-plus telecast A day like no other , from 1988, he hosted 1032 episodes of the game show Ruck Zuck on Tele 5 . In 1992 he led RTL plus through the show Showmaster .

His popularity was based primarily on the daily RTL game show Familien-Duell , of which he presented a total of 2,700 daily programs and numerous special editions from 1992 to 2003.

A special media event, but a flop, was the show I marry a millionaire hosted by him , in which it later turned out that the winning couple, who had been elaborately paired by Schulze-Erdel, had already been in a relationship.

In addition to his work as a presenter, Schulze-Erdel worked as an actor in more than 50 television films.

He was also the stadium announcer for TSV 1860 Munich in the Bayern League between 1982 and 1991 .

Schulze-Erdel is married and has no children.

On his birthday on May 2, 2018, he himself revealed the secret of his correct age: He was 70 and not 66 years old. Since he was actually too old for drama school at the time, he has had to cheat at his age since then.

In the “Prism is a Dancer” issue of November 2, 2018, a ZDF spin-off of “ Neo Magazin Royale ”, Erdel was again in front of the camera as a game show host in family duel style. He satirized his old work at RTL in a couple version and made sharp comments to the candidates.
