Werner Schweizer (director)
Werner "Swiss" Schweizer (born June 20, 1955 in Kriens , Canton Lucerne ) is a Swiss documentary filmmaker and film producer .
Life
Following his high school in Immensee , Schweizer studied sociology, journalism and European folk literature at the University of Zurich . In 1976 he was a co-founder of the Videoladen Zurich cooperative . From 1983 to 1989 he worked as a freelance journalist for various daily newspapers. Since 1989 he has worked as a writer and director of documentary films for cinema and television and has been managing the film production company Dschoint Ventschr together with Samir since 1994 , where he is responsible as a producer for documentary film projects . He was co-author of a double biography on Theo Pinkus and his wife Amalie Pinkus . Werner Schweizer is also a wine producer.
