Werner von Mirbach (lawyer)

Werner Freiherr von Mirbach (born July 20, 1878 in Kremitten , East Prussia , † October 11, 1928 in Bad Nauheim ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician (DNVP).

Life

Werner Frhr. v. Mirbach was born the son of a manor owner . After graduating from high school , he began studying law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , which he completed with the first state examination in law. During his studies he joined the Corps Saxonia Göttingen in 1899 . He completed his legal clerkship at courts. From the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD. After the two assessor exams he entered the Prussian administrative service in 1907. As a government assessor he was in Breslau and with the chief president in Königsberg i. Pr. Active. From July 1914 to 1928 he served as district administrator in the Neidenburg district . There he proved himself especially in the reconstruction after the Russian invasion in 1914 and 1920 in the historic referendum in the Allenstein voting area . He was also a member of the supervisory board of the East Prussian Landgesellschaft . After the November Revolution, Mirbach joined the German National People's Party . From 1919 to 1928 he sat in the provincial parliament of the province of East Prussia . In December 1924 he was elected to the Prussian state parliament, to which he belonged until his death.
