The Werre Park is a shopping center in the East Westphalian spa town of Bad Oeynhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia Minden-Lübbecke . It is located on the south bank of the Werre that gives it its name , about two kilometers east of the city center in the direction of the Weser . The reason for the construction at this point was the availability of a former industrial site in a convenient location directly on the B 61 . The mall opened on April 1, 1998.
history
Werre Park was built on the site of the Weserhütte , which went bankrupt in 1987 , and opened on April 1, 1998.
When it opened, a Globus SB department store, as the anchor tenant, initially had the largest retail space. This was later shared several times. In addition, the Globus Group also had an Alphatecc technology market.
shopping mall
The project developer of the shopping center is the BAUWERT Investment Group. The ECE Projektmanagement is the operator of Werre Park.
The total rental area is 52,000 square meters, including a. Doctor's offices. The sales area of 30,000 square meters is arranged on the ground floor and today includes around 80 shops, which are located on a 360-meter-long glass-roofed shopping arcade. The current anchor tenants are H & M , C & A , OBI , Saturn and an Edeka store.
The Werre-Park also includes the UCI -Kinowelt Bad Oeynhausen, two casinos and the Mondo disco .
Transport connection / planning
Long-distance traffic can reach Werre-Park via the Bad Oeynhausen-Ost (34) junction on the A30. After the completion of the Bad Oeynhausen northern bypass , the plan is to dismantle the previously four-lane Mindener Straße.
The center has 2,300 free, uncovered outdoor parking spaces spread over four parking areas.
Werre-Park can be reached by city bus line 428 from Südstadt via Bad Oeynhausen ( ZOB ) station, which runs every 30 minutes to Werre-Park on weekdays. The journey time from the central bus station is about four minutes.
