Career
Clubs
Hendriks, who comes from Wijchen in southern Gelderland , began his career as an ice hockey player with the Tigers in neighboring Nijmegen , for whose second team he played in the second Dutch league, the Eerste divisie , as a 15-year-old . In the 2002/03 season he made his debut in the first team in the honor division . After the Tigers ended financially, he moved to the Ruijters Eaters Geleen in 2003 , which he left after six months in favor of the Amsterdam Bulldogs . With his new club he won both the Dutch championship and the cup at the end of the season . Since in Nijmegen the Tigers had reported back in professional operation as “Emperors”, he returned to Gelderland despite the successes with the Bulldogs and was able to win his second Dutch championship in 2006. He then moved to HYS The Hague for a year , rejoined his parent club, now known as Nijmegen Devils , and finally played for the Utrecht Dragons in 2008/09 . After this rapid interplay between various clubs, Hendriks stayed in Heerenveen for the next three years , where he played for the Friesland Flyers . In 2012 he moved to the Eindhoven Kemphanen . Only a year later he switched back to the reigning champions HYS The Hague, but left after a few games to play again for his home club from Nijmegen, which at that time belonged to the Eerste divisie. Since 2015 he has been playing with the Devils in the then newly founded Belgian-Dutch BeNe League .
International
For the Netherlands, Hendriks took part in the Division II games of the 2005 U20 World Cup. In the World Championship Division I in 2011 he made his debut for the national team men . He was also on the ice for the Dutch in Division I at the 2012 and 2013 World Championships .
