Wetle Holte

Wetle Holte (born September 4, 1973 in Skien ) is a Norwegian jazz musician ( drums , percussion ).

Live and act

Holte attended the Trondheim Music Conservatory and from the late 1990s worked in the Norwegian jazz scene with Håkon Kornstad and Per Zanussi in the band Wibutee ; their debut album Newborn Thing was released in 1998. In the following years he also played with Bugge Wesseltoft and in Eivind Aarset's projects Electronique Noire and The Sonic Codex Orchestra . Furthermore he belonged to the rock bands Grand Telemark, Beady Bell and Spacebopcircus (with Øyvind Brandtsegg, Rune Brøndbo) and worked with Anja Garbarek , Nils Petter Molvær and Petter Carlsen . In the field of jazz he was involved in 16 recording sessions between 1998 and 2015. Under his own name, he released the album Hurricane in 2012 .
