White Dawg , even WhiteDawg or former MCB , (* in Birmingham, Alabama , actually: Billy Allsbrook Jr. ) is an American Crunk - rapper , producer and businessman from Fort Lauderdale , Florida . His releases include the 1999 top 20 hit (US charts) "Restless" and his debut album Thug Ride . White Dawg produced for hip-hop artists such as Pastor Troy , Tupac Shakur , 50 Cent , Dozia Slim , Blac Haze , Guru von den Gang Starr and Skull Duggery . He also worked with Lil 'Flip on his album Game Over . He currently distributes all of his publications through his website.

biography

White Dawg was born in Alabama to his father was studio musician Billy Alsbrooks Sr. As a teenager he moved to Miami-Dade County . His attempt was to his recordings in a small record store (Kotam Stereo) on the flea market in Oakland Park dispense. This is how he got his stage name, because since he was the only white employee in the record store, he was called White Dawg.

Eventually he worked for Kotam as a music buyer. His first recordings were made at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale . He also made recordings in a studio of a friend of Kotam's. His first single was I Wanna Lick the Pussy (1994), which became a regional hit in discos without radio broadcasts.

His follow-up single Restless was released in 1999 and reached number 18 on the Billboard rap chart. Then Thug Ride was released-

After some success (for an independently released album) by Thug Ride , White Dawg worked with Pastor Troy on the single FL Boy and released the follow-up album Animosity .

At the time, White Dawg was getting some inquiries from various record labels , including Def Jam , Epic Records, and EMI . However, he didn't sign with anyone and stayed underground.

Music genre

Musically, White Dawg's rap style is crunk. His southern accent goes well with it . He was criticized for the frequent and unreflective use of the word " nigga" and some sexist text passages.
