Wiechowice (German Wehowitz ) is a village with about 200 inhabitants in the rural municipality of Branice in Poland . It is located in the powiat Głubczycki , Opole Voivodeship , right on the border with the Czech Republic .

There is a border crossing point to Vávrovice, a district of Opava , on the Czech bank of the Oppa . The next larger city is six kilometers south of Opava.

In 1939 the place in the district of Leobschütz was renamed Wehen , which is how it was called until 1945. In 1939 the place had 576 inhabitants.
