Wien Air Alaska was formed from Northern Consolidated Airlines and Wien Alaska Airways . The airline was the first in Alaska and one of the first in the United States .
The airline was founded in 1927 by Noel Wien (1899–1977) in Nome (Alaska) . Wien Air Alaska served more airports than any other airline, with the exception of Aeroflot . Their main hubs were in Anchorage and Seattle .
