Viktor Alexandrowitsch Singer ( Russian Виктор Александрович Зингер ; born October 29, 1941 in Dawydowo in Ryazan Oblast , Russian SFSR ; † September 24, 2013 ) was a Soviet ice hockey goalkeeper and coach .

Career

He spent his time in the Soviet league with HK Spartak Moscow . In total, he was in goal in 370 games in the Soviet league .

He was appointed to the Soviet national ice hockey team at an early age . On February 26, 1965 he was in a game against Canada for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1968 Winter Olympics . For the national team, he was in goal in 57 international matches. But he was always in the shadow of the great goalkeepers Viktor Konovalenko and Vladislav Tretyak . He became world champion several times with his team. In 1967 he was inducted into the " Russian Hockey Hall of Fame ". On August 31, 1976, he played his last international match.

After finishing his sports career, Singer worked at Spartak Moscow, initially as a goalkeeping coach, later as a coach at the Spartak sports school and head coach of the junior team.
