William "Wil" Francis (born January 8, 1982 in Seattle ) is the lead singer of the band Aiden and his electronic project entitled William Control . Francis also works as a producer for the music group A Midnight Tragedy . Francis is the son of Jewish parents.

In 2003 Aiden was founded with Francis as bassist . After the original singer left the band, Francis took over the part of the singer. In 2005, Aiden was signed to Victory Records . Francis released two EPs and six albums (including albums by William Control) as well as a volume of poetry with the photographer Lisa Johnson and the title Flowers and Filth .

In 2018, at least 20 women accused Francis of mental abuse. He is said to have forced her to get his initials tattooed. In addition, Francis is said to have forced the women to sign contracts in which they commit themselves as his sex slaves . One girl is said to have been a minor at this time. Francis denies all allegations.

William Control

Francis wrote a song for the soundtrack Underworld , which is called Deathclub . The music video can be played on the DVD under the bonus features.

Collaboration with other artists

  • Francis appeared in the song To Feel the Rain of On the Last Day , on the EP Wars Like Whispers .
  • Francis was the guest star of the live version of Bleeds No More by Silverstein that on the compilation 18 Candles: The Early Years was included.
  • Francis also took part in The Used stage event during Taste of Chaos 2007 and helped sing the song Box Full of Sharp Objects .
  • Francis also produced the New Jersey rock group's second album A Midnight Tragedy , which was released in 2012. Francis met singer Dallas Destruction Sanchez at the 2008 Bamboozle Festival when they shared the same stage.
  • Francis is in the song Bleeding Rain from the debut album Kiss the Sun Goodbye by Vampires Everywhere! to listen.
  • Francis produced the new album by the Austrian punk rock band Stupe-iT in September 2012 .

Books

In July 2009 William Francis and Lisa Johnson wrote Flowers and Filth: a poetry / picture book .

Francis is writing a new book. The title has not yet been announced, but it is said to be based on his childhood and life through age 18.
