Successful gallery owner Joe Goodman is married to Rita; they have one daughter ( Rachel Crane ). The dry alcoholic meets the dominatrix Wendy at a party .
A femdom- based affair develops between the two . Although Goodman questions his marriage more and more, Wendy increasingly declines and even takes her on a business trip, he doesn't want to leave his wife or teenage daughter for her. When Wendy realizes this, she makes it clear that they will only continue the relationship if Goodman makes a clear choice for her and leaves his wife.
