Wilhelm Benoit
Eduard Wilhelm Franz Benoit (born August 12, 1826 in Märkisch Friedland ; † March 3, 1914 in Karlsruhe ) was a master builder and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Benoit attended high school in Stargard (Pomerania) and the Royal Building Academy in Berlin from 1847 to 1850. In 1846 he was government surveyor for the construction of the Stargard-Poznan railway . In 1849 he was government construction manager for the construction of the Vistula - Nogat Canal and in 1854 government builder for the construction of the Cologne Rhine bridge and the Deutz-Gießen railway . In 1863 he was district builder in Wesel , in 1870 construction inspector in Siegen and from 1872 port construction inspector in Swinoujscie . Between 1875 and 1891 he was government and building councilor in Köslin , responsible for water and harbor structures. In Swinoujscie he was also head of the fiscal district "Swinemünder-Hafengrund" and a member of the Usedom-Wollin district synod. From 1877 to 1891 he was a member of the Köslin District Synod and from 1881 to 1890 also of the Pomeranian Provincial Synod.
From June 1895 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Köslin 3 ( Köslin , Kolberg-Körlin , Bublitz ) and the Liberal Association .
