Wilhelm Bergmann (engineer)

Wilhelm Bergmann (born April 20, 1869 in Sankt Andreasberg , † April 13, 1949 in Neuölsburg ) was a German engineer and entrepreneur who headed the Ilseder Hütte joint stock company as director and later as general director . Most recently he was the technical manager of all of the Ilseder iron and steel works in Peine .

Life

After attending grammar school in Clausthal , he completed practical training as a mining enthusiast in the Prussian civil service. He studied at the University of Leipzig , the Bergakademie Clausthal and the Bergakademie Berlin . In 1893 he was appointed mountain referendar . After two years Wilhelm Bergmann resigned from the Prussian civil service to work as a mining engineer in the economy. In 1907 he became a member of the board of the Ilseder Hütte. In addition, Wilhelm Bergmann became a member of boards and committees of various mining, smelting and geological associations in Germany.

One of the representative tasks of Bergmann in 1908 was, for example, the reception of the Prussian Minister of State Clemens Delbrück at the Groß Ilsede station on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Peine-Ilseder Railway .
