Wilhelm Carl Friedrich Textor

Wilhelm Carl Friedrich Textor (born February 18, 1806 in Tübingen , † March 25, 1882 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

After attending grammar school in Frankfurt, Textor studied law in Heidelberg and Giessen . During his studies he became a member of the old Gießen fraternity Germania in the winter semester of 1826/27 . In 1828 he became a member of the Old Heidelberg Burschenschaft . In 1828 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . After completing his studies, worked as a lawyer and notary in Frankfurt.

In 1848 he was first a member of the Constitutional Committee and then a member of the Constituent Assembly of the Free City of Frankfurt . From 1858 to 1862 he was a member of the Legislative Body , including 1862 as President.

From 1862 until the annexation of the Free City of Frankfurt by Prussia in 1866, he was a senator in the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt .

family

Wilhelm Carl Friedrich Textor was the eldest son of the Tübingen law professor Friedrich Carl Ludwig Textor (1775-1851) and his wife Friedricke Sofie Gess († November 5, 1815). On July 19, 1836, he married Charlotte Louise Orthenberger in Frankfurt (September 27, 1810 - May 29, 1885).
