Bathasar Wilhelm Christian von Larisch (* May 1743 in Dzielna, Lublinitz district , † January 16, 1823 in Königsberg ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and chief of infantry regiment No. 53 .

Life

In February 1761 Larisch came as a private corporal in the infantry regiment "von Braunschweig" and participated in the campaign of 1761/63 in the siege of Schweidnitz . On November 3, 1786 he was promoted to major . On February 4, 1793 he became lieutenant colonel and commander of the infantry regiment "von Amaudruz" . In the war against Poland he received the order Pour le Mérite after the battle of Wyszogród . On January 29, 1795 he was promoted to colonel and became inspector of the West Prussian infantry. On October 2, 1800 he was appointed chief of the “von Anhalt” infantry regiment. From this point on it was called "Jung-Larisch" because his older brother Johann Karl Leopold was also the regiment owner. On June 1, 1801 he was appointed major general . In the war of 1806 he was injured in the foot and was taken prisoner with the Blücher corps near Lübeck . After the reorganization of the Prussian Army , he was appointed lieutenant general on May 22, 1810, but was still unfit for duty. In 1813, Larisch was given the leave with a full pension . He died on January 16, 1823 in Königsberg.

Larisch had married Karoline Sophie Luise Wilhelmine Countess von Kalnein (born January 30, 1767, † March 27, 1813 in Königsberg) on ​​February 17, 1784 in Königsberg. She was a granddaughter of General Karl Erhard von Kalnein . The following children were born from the marriage:
