Wilhelm Cremer (writer)

Wilhelm Cremer (born May 19, 1874 in Krefeld , † July 11, 1932 in Berlin ) was a German writer and translator.

life and work

Wilhelm Cremer was the son of a businessman. He attended high school and studied at the universities in Berlin and Munich . He made extensive trips in Europe and overseas. He later lived as a freelance writer in Berlin-Steglitz. Before the First World War he published a number of novels and volumes of short stories. After 1918 he was the editor of popular classics and school reading books. He also translated numerous works from English and French.
