Wilhelm "Witschi" Edelmann (born February 9, 1931 in Weßling , Weimar Republic , † August 20, 2010 in Tutzing ) was a German ice hockey goalkeeper and also active as an ice hockey referee.

Career

As an active player, Edelmann played in the position of ice hockey goalkeeper together with his brother Anton "Toni" Edelmann first at SC Weßling and for the Weßling-Starnberg syndicate in the ice hockey Bundesliga , before moving to EC Bad Tölz in 1959 and there in the 1961 / 62 became German champions . Internationally, he played for the German national ice hockey team at the ice hockey world championships in 1961 and 1962 .

In addition to his career as a goalkeeper, Wilhelm Edelmann was active as a referee and was used internationally at the 1957 Ice Hockey World Championship in Moscow . In addition to his sporting career, Wilhelm Edelmann was the owner of a beverage store in Weßling for 40 years.
