Wilhelm Fischer (politician, 1904)
Friedrich Wilhelm "Willy" Fischer (born March 26, 1904 in Fürth ; † October 21, 1951 there ) was a German SPD politician .
Fischer had been active in the union since 1919 and had been a member of the SPD since 1930. In 1934 he was arrested by the National Socialists for seven months . From 1940 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier , towards the end of which he was taken prisoner of war. From November 1945 he was manager of the nutrition office in Fürth-Stadt and from July 1948 a consultant in the welfare and youth welfare office of the city of Fürth. From 1948 until his death he was the district chairman of the SPD in Upper and Middle Franconia .
In 1946 Fischer was a member of the constituent state assembly in Bavaria and from 1946 until his entry into the German Bundestag a member of the state parliament . In the first federal election in 1949 he was directly elected to parliament in the Nuremberg – Fürth constituency and was a member of it until his death. In 1950 he went on a one-month political study trip to the United States with a group of 15 members of the German Bundestag.
