Wilhelm Friedrich von Drescher

Wilhelm Friedrich Drescher , from 1881 by Drescher , (born July 30, 1820 in Blaubeuren , † November 22, 1897 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg governor.

Life and work

Wilhelm Friedrich Drescher was the son of the Oberamtmann Karl Heinrich Drescher . He attended the elementary and Latin school in Blaubeuren and from 1834 to 1838 the Protestant theological seminary in Urach . In 1838 he began studying theology, but in 1839 he switched to studying law and political science in Tübingen . In 1840 he became a member and later an honorary member of the Corps Suevia Tübingen . In 1844 he passed the first and in 1845 the second higher service examination.

After a trial year in 1844/45 at the Balingen regional office , he became an actuary administrator at the Spaichingen and Balingen regional offices in 1845/46 . From 1846 to 1850 he worked as a senior actuary at the Freudenstadt District Office and from 1850 at the Schorndorf District Office . In 1852 he was chief administrator and from 1853 to 1860 chief magistrate at the Oberamt Leonberg . From 1860 to 1877 he was the senior official in Backnang , and from 1877 to 1895 he was the senior official in Stuttgart . From 1894 he held the title of senior government councilor. In 1895 he retired because of gout .
