Wilhelm Kiesselbach (writer)
Wilhelm Kiesselbach (born November 13, 1824 in Bremen ; † June 19, 1872 there ) was a German journalist and writer .
Life
Son of a lawyer and general counsel born of the College of older people of the Bremen merchants, Kiesselbach studied after attending the high schools in Bremen and Detmold law , later policy , political science and economics in Bonn and Heidelberg . During his studies in 1844 he became a member of the Fridericia Bonn fraternity . In 1848 he completed a year as a trainee attaché to the Hanseatic diplomatic porter in Constantinople . He was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD . He got to know Karl Ludwig von Bruck , with whom he worked politically for many years and who influenced him in his writing. Ludwig Häusser brought him to the Deutsche Zeitung in 1848 , where Kiesselbach worked on the trade policy part in Heidelberg and later became the chief editor of the newspaper in Frankfurt am Main . However, he withdrew from this activity around 1848/49 in order to carry out scientific studies in Heidelberg. In 1849 he became editor of the Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung . He was a representative of a customs union in Europe and advocated the creation of an Austro-German customs and trade union . In 1850 he was a co-founder of the Association of German Manufacturers in Frankfurt am Main. In 1852 he became a private lecturer in economics in Heidelberg. In 1859 he was a member of the festival committee for the Schiller Festival in Bremen, where he gave a speech. In 1859 he became a member of the German National Association ; at whose weekly newspaper he worked as an editor.
He was the uncle of Wilhelm Kiesselbach .
