High altar in the St. John's Church in Malchin

Wilhelm Krüger worked in Dresden from the beginning to the middle of the 1820s . He copied there in 1824 in the court church the altarpiece of the Chapel of the Cross, the Crucifixion of Charles Hutin , for the new high altar of St. John's church in Malchin as Calvary scene.

There he also copied the Ascension of Christ by Anton Raphael Mengs on the altar panel of the high altar of the court church in a quarter of the monumental size of the original.
